Memorial Day is a time to remember the men and women who died while serving our country in the military and to pray for the families who have to go on without their child, spouse, parent or friend.
The day is also an opportunity to pray fervently for those who are currently serving in harm’s way and to lift up their families who struggle with their absence.
Today is also a day to remember our loved ones who’ve passed and to celebrate with thankfulness the love they shared with us while they were here.
To honor the memories of those who’ve gone before, and to honor Christ’s commandment to love and serve others, take the time today to minister to someone. Make a phone call, write a letter, knock on a door, send a card, provide a meal, help with a chore.
How do you celebrate Memorial Day?
