Church Marketing: Kids are a solid investment

I am amazed at the amount of resources — time and effort — our church devotes summer activities for children.

Preschool camp. Fine arts camp. Sports camp. Fishing. Skating. Youth activities. Missions. The list goes on.

As a parent of three boys, this excites me.

Why?

I see opportunities for my kids to step away from the video games and engage in meaningful arts and athletics activities.

But most importantly, I see them engaging in these activities under an umbrella of Christian love and outreach.

There are many parents in our congregation, including us, who say they were drawn to the church because of the love and kindness extended to their children.

Not all of our congregations have the ability (or the demographics) to launch ambitious children’s programs. But those that do are certainly investing in the future.

They’re investing in the lives of those who will one day lead the church, serve as elected officials, build nonprofits, run corporations, lead sports teams, teach others, etc.
