I talked to a pastor who told me it was his job to clean the toilet at the church.
When he said it, my nose crinkled.
That’s not a job I enjoy doing in my own house, much less a building where many people are coming and going — literally.
But that was his job. And he was willing to do it.
Are you willing to do it?
I attend a church where it’s not uncommon to see the pastors and ministers carrying boxes, setting up tables, stacking chairs, making coffee, wiping up spills, etc. It encourages me to see this, and I know visitors take note as they watch the church body pulling together.
Such cooperation and service sends a message. In fact, I’d argue that type of service — that type of church marketing — means more for the Kingdom than anything you could put online, post on Facebook or share on Twitter.
How does your church body pull together for the building of God’s Kingdom?
